DOTTI BERRY

Often described by her friends as an electric eel in a pond of goldfish, Dotti is truly a Spirited Woman!   Not living on the edge isn't living at all to Dotti and she has been discovering her destiny, seeking adventure, and creating her soul journey since childhood.  As a national speaker, her passion for transforming ourselves through the "reawakening" of our soul self is evident in her workshops on diversity, nonviolence, and spirituality/sexuality, which she has presented and facilitated since 1985.   Dotti's  passionate work embodies the integration of the mind, body and spirit as she uses her imagination in seeking knowledge and insight into who she is as well as who others are.  Dotti helps people understand that to evolve from the "inside/out" takes courage, a word that literally means "of the heart."  Therefore, she says that the energy we direct every single day moves through our heart, transforming and empowering not only ourselves, but also society as a whole, giving each of us the opportunity to shift from "caterpillars of possibility" into "butterflies in flight!" Currently working on her doctorate in Human Sexuality at Widener University, Dotti is also owner of IMPACT Communications, offering workshops and seminars, as well as Phoenix Communications, a marketing/fund-raising/promotional products & apparel business.  She has attended the Thornfield Annual Conference on Sexuality, and studied with author/speaker Brian McNaught, named the "Godfather of Gay Sensitivity Training" by the The New York Times.  During the conference, Dotti completed a special track on corporate diversity and gay issues in the workplace.  Additionally, Dotti's commitment to social justice has led her to serve as part of the extended leadership team for Soulforce  (www.soulforce.org).  She is also a certified Self-Talk Trainer and Life Coach with the Life Coach Institute, and serves as a "coach" for the GLBT community through her website www.GLBTcoach.com.  Dotti has studied Touch Drawing with Deborah Koff-Chapin (www.TouchDrawing.com) and teaches and utilizes Touch Drawing in various workshops.  Her media credits include the publication of her writings in a variety of magazines, as well as hosting a TV show. 

Dotti lives with her partner, Roby Sapp, in Blaine, Washington. They were married March 7, 2004 in Portland, Oregon. It was a case of "Carpe Diem" ... they did seize the day! Click here for the details! Since their original wedding date was to be July 31, 2004, they decided to
proceed with those original plans of a wedding/spiritual ceremony with friends and family at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington. Visit the beautiful Pacific Northwest and she and Roby will take you for a ride on their Yamaha V-Star motorcycle, as well as introduce you to their beautiful child, Rylee, a standard poodle!  (Rylee is the one who is blending into the color of their black pants!)

Dotti says  "Neither the answers or the destination are most important...  it is the questions and the journey which fuel my passion for life!"

Dotti Berry owns Rainbow Communications, which publishes books and offers workshops/seminars. Her work has led her to working to establish a non-profit foundation called The Rainbow Foundation.
